'tis the season...

Tyler woke up Saturday morning, so excited!! Why you ask, because it was the first day of football season. As you can tell, he is a bit of a "U" fan. He got all the kids dressed in their "red" attire, and took them out for a photo shoot in front of the flag outside. Riley and Abby are pretty excited for football too. I am as well, but I try to be the peace maker in the home, since Tyler has brain-washed the kids and they now believe that BYU is a "bad word." I like both teams, but I have to remain loyal to my alma matter. Go Utes!!

slip n' slide

We were going to go to the zoo on Friday, but it just didn't work out, so Riley 's friend invited the kids over to play on the slip n' slide. Thanks for all the fun Luke!
Jacob had more fun trying to drink the water than play in it!Cute kids!
Go Riley!

Lemonade for Sale $$$

While Riley was at school today, Abby decided that she wanted to make a lemonade stand. Ok idea, except for lemonade season is almost over- right? Well, not for your cute little 4 year old. We got all of the supplies ready, and Riley was all for the idea when we went to pick him up. He even recruited a few friends to come help out in different shifts. It was so fun watching their faces, and hearing them shout, " Customer Customer" every time they saw a car start to get even remotely close to our house. Despite spilling some "product", and partaking of it themselves because they were so "worn out from all the selling," the kids still made $12!! Thanks to awesome neighbors, drive-by's, and two amazing Grandma's that made a special trip to our house just to make their grandkids' day, their Lemonade Stand was a hit!!

1st day of Kindergarten

Today was a big day for Riley!! He has been looking forward to Kindergarten for so long, and it finally came!! His b-day is the end of September, so he missed the deadline to start last year. This gave him 3 yrs. of preschool. Needless to say, he was READY for Kindergarten. He is a little smarty pants! He chose pancakes for breakfast, and was so excited getting ready. I thought I was going to be emotional, and I was a little, but Riley was so dang cute that I couldn't really cry. He had a good day, and is excited to go back tomorrow. SUCCESS!!

School boyCar ride to school. Abby was a little sad that she wasn't getting all the attention today. Her day will come next week though, when she starts preschool.
Riley was getting a little nervous walking in to school, so he needed Daddy's hand.
Riley and his buddy Luke are in the same class together. They are so cute!
Ready or not, here we go.......

pizza party

Tyler was out of town on Friday night, so I volunteered to watched my brother's kids for them. Everyone had so much fun- including me. I couldn't imagine taking dinner orders from 7 kids, so Little Ceasar's it was! Great idea- except for Jacob getting scalded on the hot bread stick sauce. We had a water slide, marathon bath time, and a movie & popcorn. Overall, it was a fun night! My kids LOVE having their cousins over.

I know I have been a slacker on my blog. I need to keep it up better. I will tell you my excuse though- Facebook. Does anyone else do this? I started up about a month ago to see pics of my brother in Alaska, and I have been bombarded by people from high school, college, etc. You can look up almost anyone, then request them to be your "friend", which adds them to your page. I really haven't thought about high school since I graduated, but holy cow, this is like a full on reunion. I just laugh at all the people that I am getting e-mails from that I haven't heard from forever. It has been fun, but I seriously need to stop staying up past midnight ever night doing things of less-importance.

Go Green Dragons!

Yes, it is soccer time again, and it couldn't have come soon enough! Riley is so excited to play again, and did so good in his first game on Saturday. He scored 5 of the 6 goals for his team. Our neighbor Greg Summerhays is his coach, and there are 6 boys from the neighborhood on the team, so it should be a fun season. I will post a better picture when I get one. I am not so good at the live-action shots. I blame it on my slow camera!

Thank goodness for FRIENDS!!

I have been meaning to post some pictures of my kids and their cute friends, who they have had so much fun with this summer!! I just have to thank my kids friends, and their parents for being the coolest people ever. My kids have been so lucky to have great examples and fun people always willing to play with them. You guys are the best! These are just a few pics I put on here quickly. I have more with lots of other friends. Those will make it on here next time!

Riley and Luke- soaking! The best part was after, when they took their shirts off to dry , and started flexing their muscles for me! Popsicle time! Abby, William, Luke, Max, and Riley
Annie and Abby daring each other to get wet
Good Friends!! Jane, Abby and Lily

baby biker

Tyler took Jakey on his first bike ride. He held on tight, and loved every minute of it!

Lagoon!!

Our kids have been dying to go to Lagoon lately, so Tyler and I took them on Friday, and we had so much fun!! I love seeing my kids being "kids." Abby was too small for the big rides, but Riley loved the Fire Dragon , a.k.a. Colossus. Tyler took him on the roller coaster, and he didn't dig that one quite as much. They were the best troopers, and didn't want to slow down. They are already asking to go back again! Abby looks like she is enjoying shooting that gun a little too much

Blast off!!!

Tyler's dad invited all the grandkids "over four" to a Rocket Party tonight. They all got invitations, and have been so excited for the big blast off. Tyler was so cute and bought Riley and Abby their own rockets, and "customized" them according to their desire. Of course Abby just had to have a princess rocket, and Riley wanted a TMNT rocket, choosing Donatello. They all got awards: Farthest, Highest, Fastest, and Craziest (or something). Grandma just had to come up with something. They each got a box of dots for their reward, which is their little "treat" with Grandpa, and a velcro ball/paddle game. They had tons of fun, and can't wait to launch their rockets again!

St. George

For Christmas last year, Tyler's parent gave all of the adults a trip to St. George together. We all stayed in a really nice hotel, and ate tons of good food- probably too much! Tyler and I took the bikes, had fun reading by the pool, watching Les Miserables at the Tuachaan theater, and just hanging out. It was so much fun!! The kids had a lot of fun being with their other grandma for the weekend- so, it all worked out well! I love Christmas in July!! Thanks Dallan & Becky!!

The fam- well half of them anyway: Callee, Nicole, Thayne, Jordan, Turia, & Brian

another milestone...

Riley lost his first tooth on Saturday. It has been loose for a long time, but finally fell out. He was so excited to have the Tooth Fairy visit him at night. Which is where my stress comes in, how much are teeth going for these days? Any good ideas, please let me know. Tyler suggested to give him one dollar in dimes- that way it would be easy for him to pay his tithing. He was so excited filling out his tithing slip, and so proud to give his "tooth money" to the Bishop.
