9 months old

Time if flying by like crazy, and I want it so STOP!! Meili is is growing too quick. She is such a happy baby. She is getting so mobile, and is climbing onto every thing. She has discovered drawers, but hasn't figured out how to get her hand out before is gets smashed. I guess that is something we need to work on. :)
Tyler just found Abby's primary paper that she did today at church. It made us laugh. She loves her baby sister more than anything!! She is so sweet!
Yes, Meili is teething, and she is a mess. She has her bottom two teeth, her top side, and the top two middle are both coming in right now. Thank goodness for Baby Tylenol!

Snow Fun!

My kids have been dying to go sledding... and they FINALLY got their wish! They spent Saturday morning down the street at the sledding hill with their friends William and Max. They came home just in time for chocolate chip cookies, had lunch, then went outside again to play. I LOVE nice winter days! Max and Will brought their snowboards to the sledding hill. Riley biffed it pretty bad sledding, and scraped his face all up. I guess I should post a picture of him. Because of his accident, he went to the car. Abby and Jake shared the snowboards, and came home so excited about their new venture. We just might have to invest.
I have to admit that I do love this picture! William is always so sweet to Abby.

This is supposed to be a video of Jacob, but it is not downloading right... bummer!
Jake had so much fun, and did really well on the snowboard. Way to go bud!

Lateover/ Party

My cute niece Avery turned 6 on Friday, and had her birthday party at GymCats in Lehi. It was SO fun! The kids were in heaven playing in the foam pit, on the tramps, rings, balance beams, etc. We also had all of the cousins over for Lateover that night, so we turned the night into more of a party for Avery w/ games, cake, movies, and fun. Happy Birthday Avery! We love you!!

My sweet Jakey

For those of you that have never heard of "Scripture Scouts", I suggest you find it, buy it, and listen to it with your kids. They are CD's about a group of friends that form a club called "Scripture scouts", where they tell the scripture stories, and sing songs about each story. It is SO CUTE!! Tyler grew up with them, and our kids now listen to them whenever they are in the car. I have found myself pausing the CD to explain the story a little further so they can catch all the words to the songs, etc. Jake has especially been attentive, and loves singing the songs.
Scripture Scouts Book of Mormon Scripture Scouts New Testament Scripture Scouts Old Testament Scripture Scouts Articles of Faith Scripture Scouts Family Proclamation Scripture Scouts Sing Along: My Family and Me www.scripturescouts.com

They have the Book of Mormon, New & Old Testament, Family Proclamation, etc. You can buy them at Deseret Book & Seagull, or online. I HIGHLY recommend getting them for you kids... even if they are a little older. My 9 yr old still loves them, and he learns the stories so well! They are SO WORTH your time and money for all of those long, and short car drives. My kids want to listen to it ALL THE TIME!

Anyway, so today we were on the way to the gym, and Jake was deep in thought as he was listening to Scripture scouts. I asked him if he was ok, and he said, "Mom, why did They have to kill Jesus?" I didn't think my 4 year old would ask such a deep question. We talked about it, and then went on our way. I know he is learning a lot about the scriptures, and I am so thankful that we have such a fun way to learn and apply the teachings in our family.

Happy Valentines Day!!

Yesterday was such a great day! I woke up to a clean house w/ flowers, valentines, chocolates laid out on the island, and my cute hubby cooking up a great breakfast! I was planning on making everyone breakfast, but Tyler beat me to it. The kids loved their heart-shaped french toast, and yummy smoothies! I have been so blessed, and love ALL of my cute little valentines more than anything in the world!!

This morning, I woke up to all of the kids playing the ipad... They are teaching Meili early! :)

Meili- 8 months

I have gotten SO behind on my blog! I hate that! I have so many things I want to catch up on... hopefully I can get to it this week. But for now... I have to post about my sweet baby girl. I can't believe that Meili is 8 months (and one week) old! She has been such an angel, and I can't imagine my life without her!
Meili is getting around so well. She has finally gone from the army crawl on her tummy to the full-knee crawl. She pulls herself up onto everything, and gets so excited knowing how big she is getting. She loves looking at herself in the mirror. What baby doesn't?
She LOVES when we get down on the floor so we are on her level. She thinks people are fun mountains to climb.
As for the rest of the kids... they can never get enough of Mei Mei. She is most definately the highlight in our house right now.
Meili is getting so big. Part of me loves her changing each day, but part of me is sad seeing how fast she is growing up. I want my kids to stay little forever!!
