Happy Birthday Tyler!

I can't believe my cute hubby is getting so old!! Just kidding! 35 seems so young these days! I will be there in 6 short months! We had a great day with the kids making darling cards, decorating with balloons everywhere, presents, cake and ice cream. The kids LOVE birthdays, so the day was really fun for them.

I love you Ty!! You are the best husband and father that I could ever ask for! I have been so lucky all these years to have you for my best friend. Hope you had a happy birthday!! Love you!!

I guess I need to go shopping

Sometimes it takes a 4 year old to put you in your place. Jacob came into my room yesterday just after I had gotten dressed. He took one look at me, then we had this conversation:

Jake: Mom, what are you wearing?

Me: My clothes

Jake: You mean, you're wearing THAT? (I had put on some jeans and a long-sleeved salmon-colored shirt)

Me: Yaaaaaaaa?

Jake: You always wear that. Can't you wear something different?

Me. Ok. Do you want to chose something for me to wear?

Jake: Sure... Let meeeeee seeeeeeeeeee.

(At this point, he walks over to Tyler's closet, and starts going through his clothes. I was laughing to myself at how cute & serious he was being.)

Me: Jake, my closet is over there.

Jake: Oh ya..... Now, let's take a look. (He then started flipping through all of my clothes).

I would expect this from my 7 yr. old daughter, but not Jake. He never actually picked anything out for me to wear, but I DID change my clothes. I guess even kids notice little things. He is too funny!

Abby the artist

Abby has really been into drawing lately. She pays close attention to detail, and wants everything she does to look perfect. She was learning all about Utah in school, and did this picture representing the state. Her teacher said she even stayed in from recess so she could make it look just right. She takes after her daddy!

Activity Day

I have the two greatest callings in the church... Playing the piano in Primary (which I have been doing for almost 5 years now), and Activity Days!! I was called a couple of months ago to teach the 8 year old girls, and I LOVE IT!!! They are such a darling group. I guess I am so in love with them because they are all Abby's friends. They are excited to come every week, and we have done some super fun activities. I need to post what we have done already. Abby doesn't turn 8 until April 6, but she gets to be a part of the group since it is at our home. She is in heaven that she gets that special treatment. I just snapped this pic of the girls last week having a lesson on manners. They did pretty well "pretending" to be proper. Girls will be girls.

As we all know, Dr. Seuss' birthday was nearly two weeks ago, but I had to post a pic of my little "Sneeches." They came up with the idea of what they wanted to go to school as, and put together their outfits all on their own. They said they were the only Sneeches in their grades.

9 months old

Time if flying by like crazy, and I want it so STOP!! Meili is is growing too quick. She is such a happy baby. She is getting so mobile, and is climbing onto every thing. She has discovered drawers, but hasn't figured out how to get her hand out before is gets smashed. I guess that is something we need to work on. :)
Tyler just found Abby's primary paper that she did today at church. It made us laugh. She loves her baby sister more than anything!! She is so sweet!

Yes, Meili is teething, and she is a mess. She has her bottom two teeth, her top side, and the top two middle are both coming in right now. Thank goodness for Baby Tylenol!

Snow Fun!

My kids have been dying to go sledding... and they FINALLY got their wish! They spent Saturday morning down the street at the sledding hill with their friends William and Max. They came home just in time for chocolate chip cookies, had lunch, then went outside again to play. I LOVE nice winter days! Max and Will brought their snowboards to the sledding hill. Riley biffed it pretty bad sledding, and scraped his face all up. I guess I should post a picture of him. Because of his accident, he went to the car. Abby and Jake shared the snowboards, and came home so excited about their new venture. We just might have to invest.

I have to admit that I do love this picture! William is always so sweet to Abby.

Jake had so much fun, and did really well on the snowboard. Way to go bud!

Lateover/ Party

My cute niece Avery turned 6 on Friday, and had her birthday party at GymCats in Lehi. It was SO fun! The kids were in heaven playing in the foam pit, on the tramps, rings, balance beams, etc. We also had all of the cousins over for Lateover that night, so we turned the night into more of a party for Avery w/ games, cake, movies, and fun. Happy Birthday Avery! We love you!!
